Born in Wittlich in 1962. From 1988 to 1993 he studied at the art academies in Munich and Dresden.
Since 1993 he has lived as a freelancer in Traben-Trarbach on the Moselle, where his studio and sculpture garden are located.
He took part in numerous exhibitions and sculpture symposiums and art-in-architecture projects at home and abroad. His work was awarded the Limes Art Prize in 1998, the Bernkastel-Wittlich District Culture Promotion Prize in 2000 and the Trier-Saarburg District Art Prize in 2001.
