"fire jump"
by Sigrún Ólafsdóttir
Nature and art, they seem to flee each other,
And found each other before you think it.
The aversion has also disappeared from me,
And both seem equally attracted to me.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The "Fire Leap" is the result of a dialogue
between me, the form and the material. In context
of the place on the backwater of the Saar, a new one is being created
Dialogue: between artwork and nature – about
lightness and heaviness, about becoming and passing away,
about strength and tenderness, threat and consolation. In the
Encountering unfolds for the viewer in such a way
associative space about the relationship between art and
Nature.
