mouth of the Saar
The Saar has its source at the 1009 m high Donon in France and after 280 km it flows into the Moselle in Konz. In the Middle Ages, the mouth of the Saar was first mentioned in the so-called »Saarspitz«.
A triangular sculpture stands at the mouth of the Saar as a place of rest and meditation. The work of art is a stone that rests in itself due to its triangular basic shape. Facing the estuary, the recessed silhouette allows the stone to sit or stand.
It is quieter in the stone and the sound of the water is amplified.
