Real-time panoramic webcams in the region
The location of the Livecam is the panoramic hut of the KV Naischnotz Nittel on the Orchideenweg in the Langheck nature reserve. Nittel is the largest wine village on the Upper Moselle. The wine village is located on a picturesque curve of the Moselle between rock and vineyards right on the border with Luxembourg. Nittel is a state-approved resort and part of the Konz municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district.
The panoramic camera looks across the Saar to the picturesque old town and historic Saarburg. The Hotel-Restaurant Villa Keller is a former mansion right on the banks of the Saar. With the Wein- und Genuss Hotel Villa Keller, Villa Keller offers a restaurant with exquisite cuisine. The ensemble also includes Keller's Wirtshaus, a really cozy inn with an idyllic terrace in the inner courtyard.
The reservoir is about 30 km south of Trier and is a popular recreation area for holidaymakers and day visitors in the Hunsrück-Hochwald Nature Park. Landal Hochwald holiday park is located on the east side of the reservoir.
