Excursion to the treasury of the Trier City Library

The action group "Lifelong learning, actively passing on knowledge" went on an excursion to nearby Trier on July 7, 2023. There, the participants received a fascinating insight into the art and culture of the Middle Ages and early modern times. They learned interesting facts about the bibliophile treasures of the highest value and international standing, which are located in the treasury of the Trier City Library.

The UNESCO World Document Heritage has an outstanding position "Codes Egberti" "ADA Evangeliar" and the "Trier Apocalypse". Mrs. Heidi Rautert conveyed the knowledge about these treasures during a guided tour in a humorous way but very well explained. All participants were happy to have acquired new knowledge and had the opportunity to exchange ideas afterwards at a cozy get-together in Fischers Maathes.
