Educational trip to Schengen (Luxembourg)

On March 19, 2022, the "Partnership for Democracy in the VG Konz" organized an educational trip to the European Museum in Schengen (Luxembourg) as part of the event series "United in Diversity - Discovering and Understanding Europe". This offer was readily accepted by a large number of members of the Konzer action group "Lifelong learning, actively passing on knowledge". On site, in bright sunshine, the participants received an exciting and informative overview of the Schengen Agreement and during the entertaining guided tour “Schengen is alive” they learned why a Europe without borders is so important, especially in this day and age. In the museum café, the participants were able to exchange their impressions of what they had experienced, before the journey home along the beautiful southern Weinmosel.

The series of events is organized by the coordination and specialist office of the Partnership for Democracy in the VG Konz and funded by the Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal program "Live Democracy!"
