Excursion to Enkirch on the Middle Moselle
The action group undertook an excursion to Enkirch on the Middle Moselle on October 25, 2021. In gloriously beautiful autumn weather, the participants learned interesting facts about the history as the largest place between Trier and Koblenz, its strategically interesting location at the mouth of 4 valleys, for trade and crafts. During a 2-hour tour of the town, the participants were inspired by the impressive history and the beautiful half-timbered buildings. They learned, among other things, the meaning of drills and games and some funny anecdotes from the village. Afterwards, impressions of the excursion were exchanged over a snack and a glass of Enkircher wine. People were happy about the newly acquired knowledge of a place that one otherwise only drove past and about seeing like-minded people again after a long absence due to the pandemic.
