The Lifelong Learning Action Group visited the Gerolsteiner Brunnen Group and the Bitburger Brewery on February 13, 2020. At the beginning of the tour in Gerolstein, after a welcome with a film, we were informed about the most important facts about the largest German mineral water producer. Afterwards there was the opportunity to taste the various products, ask questions and visit the bottling plant.
After about 1 hour we went from Gerolstein to Bitburg, where there was the opportunity to have a meal and to discuss what we had seen in the Simon Bräu brewery. The subsequent visit to the Bitburger Erlebniswelt gave insights into the history of the company and the art of brewing beer. Last but not least, there was also a taste of the brewery products in the cozy Bitburger Lounge, from where we then made our way back to Konz.
