“Type 2 Diabetes – Development and Prevention”
The "Healthy in Old Age" series has now become firmly established as a program for seniors in Konz. This year, from March to May, events will be held on the topics of healthy sleep, everyday helpers, diabetes, and exercise.
The series is organized by the GemeindeschwesterPlus (Community Nurse Plus) in the Konz district, the Konz Care Support Center, and the Konz-Karthaus Neighborhood Management. Participation in the events is free, but prior registration is required. The next event in the series will take place on April 28 and informs about “Type 2 diabetes – development and prevention”.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus, also known as "sugar diabetes," can pose a significant challenge to the body. This disease often goes unnoticed because the nonspecific symptoms are often mistaken for aging. With an aging population, modern lifestyles, and a lack of exercise, the incidence of diabetes is continuously rising. In our informative presentation, you will learn how you can improve your well-being and significantly reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes through a holistic lifestyle. Join us and take control of your health!
Diabetes can also lead to wound diseases that require special treatment. A member of the Ehrang Wound Center's staff will provide fascinating insights into her work. She will explain access to the practice, where wound managers and physicians work closely together to ensure individualized care using the most modern treatment methods.
