Konz-Niedermennig youth group honored again

The Niedermennig youth group is also one of the winners of the Youth Engagement Competition 2025 of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate After their success in 2024, the young volunteers have once again undertaken an impressive project and convinced the jury.

With the "Youth Garden in the Konzer Tälchen" An open meeting place for the community is to be created. A meadow area for leisure activities such as barbecuing or camping will be complemented by a vegetable garden where young people can learn from older generations.

The commitment of the youth group makes an important contribution to village life and shows that young people are actively involved and enriching their community with fresh ideas.

Prime Minister Alexander Schweitzer praised the award winners as inspiring role models: “Your commitment, your creativity and your optimism give courage to society.” The full-time councilor of the Konz municipality, Guido Wacht, also congratulated the youth group.
