Possible noise abatement measures by Deutsche Bahn

The city of Konz and the municipalities of Kanzem and Wiltingen along the Saar line are to be quieter. As part of the "Noise Remediation on Existing Federal Railways" program, Deutsche Bahn (DB) to implement noise abatement measures along the Konz-Karthaus – Saarbrücken railway line in Konz, Kanzem and Wiltingen in order to protect residents from rail noise in the future.

In March 2025, Deutsche Bahn informed residents about the possibilities at information events in Konz and Wiltingen. On this page you will find the presentations that were presented at the events.

Which measures will be implemented in the individual areas of the city and local communities has not yet been determined. The political bodies (councils, committees) will make a decision by the end of the year.
