Village renewal in waves: More chances for funding

The municipality of Wellen has been recognized by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate as a priority municipality for village renewal. This gives the municipality a greater chance of accessing the limited funding available under the program for eight years.

The goal of village renewal is to strengthen and revitalize village centers. The first step will be a so-called village moderation, in which residents can contribute their ideas for Wellen's future. Which specific projects will be funded in the coming years has not yet been determined. The municipal administration is currently trying to find a specialist office that can facilitate a village moderation this year.
