Rehabilitation of the L137 between Mannebach and Tobiashaus

Rehabilitation of the L137 between Mannebach and Tobiashaus

The Trier State Office for Mobility (LBM) announces that construction work to renovate state road 137 between the L135 near Mannebach and the B051 near Tobiashaus will begin on Monday, September 23, 2024.

The construction project involves the rehabilitation of the damaged section of the state road over a total length of 1.75 km, including the drainage pipes and facilities there.

The section of the route has been closed for reasons of traffic safety since the dismantling of the Saarburg household waste landfill and the associated mass transports and has since then no longer been in a traffic-safe condition, with the need to maintain the full closure for all traffic.

The traffic volume on the L137 in the relevant section before the closure was approximately 600 vehicles/24 hours with a heavy goods vehicle share of 5%.

The recommended diversion via Tawern or Saarburg still applies.

The construction work will be carried out by STRABAG Lahnstein Division, Saarland Group from Nonnweiler and is expected to last until December 2024.

The costs are borne by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate with an investment volume of approximately EUR 720,000.

The LBM Trier thanks the affected road users for their patience and understanding.
