Piano concert in Konz: Sebastian Voltz – “Voyages”

The city of Konz invites you to the piano concert “Voyages” by Sebastian Voltz on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 5 p.m. in the church of St. Nikolaus.

Somewhere between classical music and European modern jazz, deeply connected to the piano music of the 20th century and equally highly intuitive and free - that is the music of Sebastian Voltz. Intimate moments, impressionistic sound spheres and fragile passages of tension alternate with rhythmic eruptions and radiant outbursts, always characterized by the utmost elegance.

Trained as a classical pianist, Sebastian Voltz turns to improvised music and combines in his music all the influences that fascinate him. Always with the sound ideal of the classical pianist and always in search of the extraordinary, special and unmistakable sound, he creates sound paintings of great beauty.

“Voyages” describes the pianist’s personal journey in the external and internal world and practically invites the listener to come along on this journey, to develop their own associations with the music, to experience moments of happiness, to let dream images pass by. “Voyages” is an intimate autobiographical album, a collection of the most personal thoughts and experiences, each piece lovingly selected and recorded with passion. And each of them tells its own fascinating story in just a few minutes.
