Information about the St. Rochus Wine Fair Nittel 2024

This year, the The largest wine festival on the Upper Moselle once again offers a varied program. From Friday, August 16, 2024 to Monday, August 19, 2024 Showmen, live music, market stalls, restaurants and winemakers create a unique ambience.

The highlights include the proclamation of the 19th Saar-Obermosel wine royalty on Saturday evening and the 17th German-Luxembourg wine happening with free boat passage on Sunday. This year, the event ship "Princesse Marie-Astrid", known for its elegant furnishings, will sail between Nittel (DE) and Machtum (LUX).

In addition, Segway tours through the vineyards of Nittel are offered on Sunday. The one-hour tours at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. start at the fire station (“Im Pflanzgarten”). You can register via www.mosel-on-wheels.de

On Monday afternoon, the fairground belongs to the very young visitors. The children's entertainment provided by the Nittel sports club and other clubs is very popular every year.

The wine fair is easy to reach by train. The Moseltalbahn runs every hour between Trier and Nittel. In cooperation with the SPNV-Nord association, an additional regional train will run to Trier at 0:13 a.m. on the night from Saturday to Sunday, with all stops along the way.

In case of medical emergencies during the festival, employees of the German Red Cross will be available at a stand at the Volksbank.
