“Digital Heroes”: Second smartphone course for seniors comes to an end

The more than 50 senior citizens who have been training with the "Digital Heroes" over the past few months are now smartphone-ready. In a total of 15 afternoons at the Realschule plus in Konz, they learned a lot from the students in the "Digital Heroes" working group, among others. For example, newly purchased cell phones were installed together and password security was also a topic. In addition, email addresses were set up, photo galleries and contact lists were created, and social media was of course also a topic.

The cross-generational course was initiated by the senior citizen representative of the Konz district, Hermann Hurth. This is the second time that the event has been a success. The special thing about this offer is that the students address the questions and problems of the senior citizens individually. A total of 27 young people helped this time to turn the older cell phone users into "digital heroes" as well.
