Tournament in favor of Lebenshilfe Trier-Saarburg in Konz

The 27th edition of the Lebenshilfe indoor football tournament in the Konzer Saar-Mosel-Halle was a complete success. The support association “Join in, help footballers” as the organizer in collaboration with the football district was pleased to have more than 1,100 spectators and visitors over the three days.

Jürgen Gombert and Bernd Marx were able to look back on a successful and very fair tournament at the award ceremony. The tournament was very well attended with 77 teams. Special thanks went to the tournament director Peter Becker as well as all referees, helpers, the numerous sponsors and especially the clubs in Konz, Krettnach and Filzen-Hamm as well as the Trier-Saarburg football district for their great support.

The winners of this year's main tournament were “SG Osburg/T/M/L” ahead of “FSV Trier-Tarforst”. Third place was shared by “SG Hochwald” and “SG Langsur/Z/I”.

“SG Serrig/Saarburg” won the district league team tournament ahead of “SV Konz II”.

The teams from the district selection “Stützpunkt Konz” as well as “Tarforst” and “Könen II” won the D-youth tournament. In the E-Youth category, “FSV Tarforst”, “FSG Ehrang/Pfalzel” and “FC Könen” won.

Numerous other teams thrilled the spectators.

In the company team tournament, the Volksbank representative won ahead of “Berens & Cie”.

Kilian Zender from Lebenshilfe as well as numerous guests of honor and the councilor Guido Wacht as a representative of the VG and the city of Konz thanked all supporters and helpers for the successful event. She is a prime example of successful inclusion.
