T'arabBach Quartet
From Baghdad to Bach am February 24, 2024
The city of Konz invites you to a musical evening that you shouldn't miss: music from the Arab world meets baroque. A fusion of Arabic melodies, baroque and original compositions lead the audience into a new cross-cultural sound world. To be heard on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 7:30 p.m in the Doctor Bürgersaal concert, Wiltinger Straße 10-12, Conc.
Four musicians from the region build a bridge between different cultures and, through the variety of sounds, present a mixture of styles in a new guise.
Saif Al-Khayyat (Oud, Arabic lute) studied ancient Arabic music in Baghdad. He has lived in Germany for 20 years.
Theo Van Der Poel (accordion) and Angela Simons (cello) come from the classical European field. As a percussionist, Ahmad Abu Siam Arabic enriches this varied program.
