Skater and leisure area on Roscheid in Konz brought up to date

The skating and leisure area at the Roscheid youth center in Konz was resurfaced this week. This means that it is now usable again for young people. The asphalt surface had suffered greatly in recent years. Due to signs of wear and tear and vandalism, it had recently not been used for skating at all.

Last Monday, the construction company arrived. The new asphalt is finer than the old one. This will make it even easier to roll across the square in the future. Mayor Joachim Weber was delighted: "The facility is very popular with young people. That's why it was a particular concern of the city of Konz to get it back into shape." The cost of the new asphalt is around 27,000 euros.

The new "runway" will be opened just in time for the 25th anniversary of the Konz Roscheid children and youth support group. On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the association will celebrate the anniversary together with Junetko with an open day.
