The siblings Marie-Luise and Christoph Dingler, also known as The Twiolins, are pioneers of the new movement "progressive classical music" and are causing a stir in concert halls around the world. With their program "SECRET PLACES" they invite the audience on a fantasy journey in which they create exciting alternative worlds and balance between innovative sound language and intoxicating harmony.
The Twiolins have been sharing the stage since they were 12 years old and have won numerous awards together. After studying music in Mannheim, they devoted themselves entirely to the violin duo and have been performing professionally for more than 14 years. They have already released four albums and have been invited on concert tours to China, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates and many other places. The album "Secret Places" was awarded the silver medal at the Global Music Awards.
In order to explore new dimensions of music, the Twiolins have launched their own composition competition and hold a competition every three years. Composers from all over the world compete against each other with daring sound combinations, beguiling melodies or insane virtuosity and have to win over the audience. Over 500 composers from 55 nations have taken part in the Progressive Classical Music Award so far. The 2015 prize-winning works will be presented in the SECRET PLACES program.
