Flood protection walls are being built as a precautionary measure
January 2, 2024
Due to rapidly rising water levels, flood protection walls will be erected as a precautionary measure on the Moselle in Oberbillig today (Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024) from around 5 p.m. In Tawern, the fire brigade is filling sandbags for overflowing streams as a precaution.
Wherever there is a need for action in the Konz municipality, appropriate measures are taken. The responsible authorities are closely following current developments. The German Weather Service expects floods to last a maximum of two years.
