Financial support after storms around Pentecost

The Council of Ministers of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate has decided to provide financial support to private households following the storms around Pentecost. The corresponding directive for the granting of state emergency aid in exceptional, livelihood-threatening emergencies supports private individuals in the district of Trier-Saarburg and thus those affected in the Konz municipality.
Those citizens whose living space, household goods or clothing were damaged by the storm are considered eligible to apply. The amount of emergency aid can be up to 1,500 euros per household and up to 500 euros for each additional person in the household, with a maximum of 3,000 euros being granted. The state government provides the emergency aid funds to the district so that they can distribute the money quickly and in a targeted manner to the affected citizens.

The Caritas Association of Trier is also providing emergency aid of €200 per household for those affected by flooding in the Trier region. The deadline for submission is 14 June 2024 .
