promote democracy. Shaping diversity. prevent extremism. – these are the goals of the Partnership for Democracy (PfD) in the Konz municipality. PfD Konz has been funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal program “Live Democracy!” since 2015. Since then, a large number of projects have been supported and implemented on site. We are happy to support motivated people, groups and associations in their commitment to local democracy by providing expert advice on project development and implementation and by providing funding.
Young people who organize the festival "Konz will loud #4" and exchange ideas on the topics of "equality and awareness", those who are interested in the event series "Democracy in Germany - from the beginnings to the present" in historical places about milestones in the history of democracy information, students who are sensitized to respectful interaction with each other through projects, a photo project that focuses on the identity of refugees and schools and daycare centers that take up the topic of "Reading aloud connects!" on the occasion of reading aloud - that's all Projects that were supported by the PfD in VG Konz in 2023.
In 2024, we would like to remain committed to achieving the goals of the Partnership for Democracy and to respectful and peaceful coexistence in a diverse society. Do you also have ideas for projects that promote democracy, diversity and combat extremism? We are happy to support motivated people, groups and clubs in their commitment to local democracy. We are available to develop new project ideas as well as to further develop “old project ideas”.
In order to coordinate project development and the application as early as possible, it is advisable to make use of the offer of specialist advice and support from the coordination and specialist office before submitting the application. A decision will be made on the applications submitted to the action and initiative fund at the next meeting of the monitoring committee on March 11, 2024. Applications should be submitted early, but no later than February 26, 2024.
Irrespective of the deadlines mentioned above, it is possible to have small and very small projects funded from the micro fund. Projects that are funded from the microfund can be implemented faster and with less application effort for the applicant. The maximum amount of funding per individual project is €750 (compared to €5,000 for applications for support from action and initiative funds).
