Update: Modernization of the traffic junction in Konz

The start has been postponed: the announced roadway, sidewalk and traffic light renewal at the "Granastrasse/Schillerstrasse" junction in Konz is to begin in the second week of the holiday.

In the first week of the holiday, the LBM is renovating the roadway in the area of the B 51 between the Könen bypass and the exit to Wawern. For this purpose, a full closure of this section of the route for around a week is unavoidable. The diversion leads via Kanzem and Konz. If construction work were to start at the junction in Konz at the same time, this would be an additional burden for motorists.

The construction measures of the LBM are coordinated in terms of time - as far as this is possible. The hub in Konz will not be completely blocked from the start. Initially, the traffic between Schillerstrasse and the donut roundabout continues with a construction site traffic light. At the time of the "full closure" of the junction in Konz, the Wiltinger Kupp will probably be open again with a construction site light.
