Konz: High schools need reading sponsors

Promoting reading and learning for students in the city and municipality of Konz is the heart of the work of the Konzer-Doktor Community Foundation. If you would also like to make a contribution to ensuring that young people have better educational opportunities and training prospects, then donate an hour of your time and support children and young people in meaningful reading and in revising the lesson material.

For around 15 years, the foundation has been very successfully supporting students in the Konz municipality with volunteer reading and learning sponsors. This reading support is very much appreciated by everyone involved, the parents, the teachers, the children and the teachers.

There will likely be a lack of reading-learning mentors at the high school in Konz in the 2023/2024 school year - primarily in the 5th grade, which is why the foundation is looking for volunteer reading mentors to look after students. Previous pedagogical knowledge is not required, but joy, patience and empathy in dealing with children are required.

The reading mentors will work closely with the teachers and be supported in their work.
