Monastery park festival in Konz-Karthaus on September 23, 2023

The area around the former monastery in Karthaus is today the social center of Karthaus. Among other things, the "Kloster Karthaus" civic and cultural center, the office of the DRK district association, the St. Johann elementary school, the integrative St. Johann day-care center, the DRK-ServiceWohnen for seniors and the DRK senior center are located here.

At the Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 2:30 p.m The district office Karthaus organizes the second edition of the monastery park festival in cooperation with the office of the DRK district association and the senior center of the DRK regional association. As with the first edition, many groups, institutions and clubs based in and around the monastery will again take part with food and drink stands, information offers, hands-on activities and a varied stage program. Among other things, a children's flea market is planned, there is a teddy bear clinic, games for children, bread from the wood-fired oven, ice cream, waffles, coffee and cake as well as a varied stage program with dance and music performances.

With the festival, the organizers want to make it clear that they are at home in Karthaus and see it as part of their mission to have an impact on the district and to be visible in Karthaus and to provide information about their work. The facilities offer information stands, tours of the senior center, service living and day care, among other things. The festival should also offer space for getting to know each other and encounters and thus make a contribution so that the juxtaposition of the many actors can further develop into a togetherness.
