FSJ in the city library Konz possible
After leaving school, many young people ask themselves what to do next. Before making the big decision about their further career path, school leavers often want an alternative to starting training or studying immediately. The Konz City Library is again offering such an alternative this year with a voluntary social year (FSJ) culture.
Young volunteers can get to know the professional world of a public library - a varied world that includes much more than lending books. This includes, for example, helping to organize a guided tour for a kindergarten group, preparing an exhibition about the diversity of the city’s population, developing a new workshop concept for dealing with fake news or giving an introduction to robotics with BlueBots. An FSJ culture in the city library means providing the library users with knowledge and information for a year, but also fun and the feeling of being welcome. In short: An exciting year between people and the media.
