Ten students read in the monastery for victory

Reading is important and fun! This was shown by the sixth graders who took part in the reading competition of the German Book Trade Association. After the school decisions, the district decision took place this week in the ballroom of the St. Bruno monastery in Konz-Karthaus. Ten school winners competed against each other.

"It was really close this time," emphasized Mayor Joachim Weber at the subsequent award ceremony. "The jury had a very difficult time making a decision." Nevertheless, there could only be one winner who will compete in the next round in the district round: Tim Mergens from the Stefan-Andres-Gymnasium in Schweich.

Second and third place winners were Noah Greif from the RealschulePlus in Konz and Erdinc Muhammed Demircan from the Gymnasium Konz.
