At an information evening, around 70 people from Wawern found out about the topic of fiber optic expansion. The pre-marketing has started, so employees from “Eon Highspeed” will be acquiring contracts locally in the coming weeks. The employees can identify themselves accordingly.

Westconnect GmbH is responsible for expanding the broadband network in the local community. Customers in the expansion area are addressed and sold as a service under the "E.ON Highspeed" brand by E.ON Energie Deutschland.

In order for the complex fiber optic expansion to be economically justifiable, enough interested parties must sign a preliminary contract for an E.ON high-speed product by the pre-marketing period: the required pre-marketing rate is 40 percent.
