Event series "Healthy in old age" - seminar on fall prevention
After the success of the "Healthy in old age" series last year, there is a new edition this year. Events on the topics of fall prevention, brain training, exercise and healthy eating are offered from March to June.
The series of events is organized by the community nurse plus, the care base Konz and the district management Karthaus. Cooperation partners at the events include the district's health promotion and prevention department and the AOK Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland. Participation in the events is free of charge. However, prior registration is required. The series of events starts on March 22nd with a Seminar on fall prevention.
How to minimize the risk of falls in everyday life - that's what the free seminar "Fall Prevention" aims to teach. At the beginning of the event, consequences, risks and possible preventive steps will be discussed in a lecture. The participants then get to know exercises such as balance, stability and mobility training in the practical part. These can be sustainably integrated into everyday life.
The seminar is aimed at seniors from the Trier-Saarburg district, caring relatives and anyone interested. Registration is until March 17th by email to silvia.engel@trier-saarburg.de or by phone on 0651-715 536 (by phone only Monday to Wednesday morning).
