Ideas competition Volunteering 4.0: Digital projects wanted
Prime Minister Malu Dreyer is launching the volunteering 4.0 ideas competition for the seventh time. "With the award, we want to make organizations and innovative projects visible that set digital accents in various areas of voluntary commitment and try out creative approaches," said the Prime Minister.
"Our society is becoming more digital and the many volunteers in Rhineland-Palatinate contribute with their creative ideas to using the opportunities of digitization for civil society and our coexistence. With the competition, I want to make visible how digitization can succeed in voluntary work and what innovative strength lies in civil society.”
We are looking for organisations, projects or initiatives that are carried out on a voluntary basis and break new ground digitally or with digital support. Very different ideas and approaches can be the focus. This can be the use of digital tools for club administration and management, innovative digital solutions for public relations or recruiting young talent, digital training formats, a self-developed app or collaboration on an online encyclopedia. All areas of honorary and voluntary commitment are addressed - from sport, to culture, the social, nature, environmental and climate protection, the preservation of tradition and homeland or refugee aid. It doesn't matter whether a club, a foundation, an association, a small initiative or a project is behind the commitment.
A total of up to ten projects will be awarded prize money of 1,000 euros each. Organizations can get involved with their projects Apply online by Sunday, September 10, 2023 , about the Volunteer portal of the state government with the application form stored there.
The volunteering 4.0 ideas competition is embedded in the “Digital into the future” project. "With the support we offer, we accompany clubs and initiatives on their way to digitization, with online training on current club topics, a digital toolbox, practical examples and digital networking opportunities and, since last year, also through a regional rental and training system at 15 locations in Rhineland -Palatinate," said the Prime Minister.
