Golden badge of honor for firefighters in the VG Konz

At a ceremony in the district administration, District Administrator Stefan Metzdorf awarded 20 firefighters the Golden Fire Service Medal for their long-standing commitment. At the age of 35 and 45, the deserving servicemen from the associated municipalities of Konz and Hermeskeil can look back on a long time in their volunteer fire brigade. The mayor of the VG Konz, Joachim Weber, the deputy of the VG Hermeskeil Theo Palm as well as some local mayors and the military authorities were also guests.

The award for 35 years received from the VG Konz: Claus Barth (Filzen-Hamm), Stephan Beck (Temmels), Dirk Dresselhaus (City of Konz), Simon Gubernator (Wasserliesch), Marco Huber (Temmels), Sandra Laubach (Wasserliesch), Dirk Lorek (Wasserliesch), Roland Schick (Oberbillig), Thomas Schuh (Temmels), Stefan Thein (Oberbillig), Nadine Wagner (Wasserliesch), Helmut Geimer (Wawern), Dirk Hoffmann (Wellen). Roland Müller and Andreas-Heine Olthoff from Nittel (VG Konz) received the award for 45 years.
