The city of Konz invites you: Homeland and Wine Festival 2023
Conc, June 16, 2023
The city of Konz is celebrating the homeland and wine festival for the 73rd time this year. From July 14 to 17, 2023, visitors can look forward to different types of wine from local winegrowers: fresh summer wines and sparkling types of sparkling wine can be found at a total of 17 wine stands on the market square. There are also French wines at the partnership stand.
With a classic fries, “Tioler style” pinsa or pasta from a Parmesan loaf in the gourmet zone, everyone can find the right culinary accompaniment to the drink. And of course there is also a variety of entertainment on the two stages around the town hall.
"The program of the traditional festival inspires thousands of visitors every year - whether watching the fireworks, enjoying live music or a family afternoon! That's why I cordially invite the concerts and of course guests from all over the region to the Heimat- und Weinfest 2023," says Mayor Joachim Weber.
Details about the program:
On the opening evening, the candidates for the election of the Saar-Upper Moselle Wine Queen present themselves on the main stage, the show dance group "Rainbow" shows their skills and after the traditional fireworks with musical accompaniment there is unplugged music with the band "Schlappengas".
The musical highlights of the following days include the party music by the band "First Men on Mars" on Saturday evening, while classics from the 70s, 80s and 90s are on the playlist of "Frank Rohles & Centurion XX" on Sunday evening. On Monday afternoons it will be classic with star tenor Thomas Kiessling & the Konzer Musikanten, in the evenings the band "Unplugged Gang goes plugged and Friends Revival" will heat up the audience.
The program on Sunday afternoon is again all about families: Children from the age of four can experience the fairy tale “Rogues and heroes conquer the world” on the fairground; afterwards, the play mobile Konz provides fun on the stage behind administration building 2.
Other program highlights include the DJ Night and the newcomer stage behind administration building 2, the classic car meeting and performances by "Concordia Konz" and the dance school "Born2Dance".
Food and drink prices:
Of course, the price increases in all areas caused by inflation do not go unnoticed by the stand operators of the Konzer Heimat- und Weinfest. Whether expensive frying oil or higher prices for glass and packaging: the stand operators feel compelled to raise the prices for their products slightly. For example, the fries with mayo/ketchup cost 50 cents more this year and thus 3.50 euros. A glass of wine is expected to be available from 3 euros.
Without a car to the Heimat- und Weinfest 2023:
Special buses are in use every evening until well after midnight, bringing visitors from the VG Konz to the homeland and wine festival and back home again. So the car can stop.
