The Konzer lost and found office is now online

Lost your key or cell phone somewhere in the VG Konz? Don't worry: someone may have found your belongings and handed them in to the lost-and-found office. On www.konz.de/fundsachen you can now check which lost items have been reported and handed over. With a bit of luck, you will soon be able to pick up your cell phone or keys again.

In around 80 percent of the reported lost property, it is the keys or mobile phones just mentioned. But there are also stranger and bigger things brought: for example an old wheelchair as well as bicycles and a scooter.

Purses also often end up in the lost and found office. However, mostly without cash. However, at least cards and ID are almost always in there. If the owner can be identified, he or she will be contacted by the Citizens Advice Bureau.

And what do I do when I find an item?

First report to the lost and found office. This is now possible online. On www.konz.de you can also make an appointment to hand in the item to the Citizens Advice Bureau without waiting.

If the rightful owner does not report within six months, the finder can pick up the find again. The item then becomes the property of the finder. If the person is not interested, the lost item is either destroyed or, for example a bicycle, given to the needy.
