Saarstraße in Konz: construction crane makes full closure necessary

After coordination with LBM, the complete closure will not take place until November

Due to the construction work on the banks of the Saar, half of the Saarstrasse has already been closed. Unfortunately, the plans have to be changed again: the currently available construction cranes, which can be used in this flood area, make a full closure necessary at times.

The complete closure of Saarstraße in the area between Donutkreisel and Bahnhofstraße will take place from November 2nd, 2022. By that time, access to the B51 via the K134 will be possible again, so that drivers will at least only have to accept a closure in the city area.

From November 2, 2022, Saarstraße between the Donut roundabout and Bahnhofstraße will no longer be usable for through traffic in both directions and a detour will apply within the city. This is signposted and leads via Bahnhofstrasse, Schillerstrasse and Granastrasse. Access to the organic market, the pizzeria and the Saar-Obermosel Touristik is via the street "Am Markt".

The full closure is expected to last four weeks. Residents are allowed to drive on Saarstrasse up to the construction site.
