Repair Café of the Turngemeinde Konz 1885 e.V. will take place again

What do you do with a toaster that no longer works? Or with a bike where the wheel grinds? Throw away? think! The Turngemeinde Konz 1885 e.V. is organizing the Repair Café in Konz for the third time.

In the bistro of the Konz gymnastics community, Hermann-Reinholz-Str.1 , turns on 01/04/2023 all about repairing. In between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m Various volunteers are available to help with all kinds of repairs free of charge - whether toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bicycles, toys or dishes... everything that no longer works, is broken or damaged, visitors to the Repair Café can use bring it with you and there is a good chance that the repair will succeed! The experts at the Repair Café almost always have a solution.

With this action, the gymnastics community Konz wants to contribute to the reduction of the garbage mountain. The organizers think this is necessary: “In Germany we throw away an incredible amount. Even objects that are almost completely missing and that could be used again after a simple repair. With the Repair Café we want to make a contribution to sustainability.” It is also intended to bring people back into contact with each other in a new way. This is how repairing is fun!

In order to avoid long waiting times, a maximum of one item per visitor will be accepted when there is a large number of visitors. In order to be able to plan better, the TG is happy to accept pre-registrations for a visit using the above contact options.
