New EU funding in sight: Moselle Franconia recognized again as a LEADER region
On November 8, Andy Becht, State Secretary in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Agriculture, presented the certificate of recognition for the new EU funding period 2023-2029 to those responsible for the Moselle Franconia region in a ceremony in Hambach Castle. Associated with this is the approval of the LEADER development strategy for the next seven years, which Moselfranken has developed together with its neighboring region of Miselerland from Luxembourg.
Michael Holstein (Second Chairman of the Local Action Group Moselle Franconia and Mayor of the Trier-Land Association Municipality), Simone Thiel (First Alderman of the Saarburg-Kell Association Municipality), Matthias Faß (Managing Director of the LAG Moselfranken), Marc Weyer (President of the GAL LEADER Miselerland) and Thomas Wallrich (Managing Director of the GAL LEADER Miselerland).
The cross-border LEADER development strategy of the Moselfranken and Miselerland regions offers a wide range of ideas and potential for rural development. The regional management of the LEADER action group Moselfranken welcomes innovative ideas from interested project sponsors and will be happy to advise you on applying for funding. The first project calls are expected to start in the first half of 2023.
