Reading Summer 2022: Pick up the prices now!

The Reading Summer 2022 at the Konz City Library was a complete success. A total of 520 children read and rated more than 4410 books during the campaign period. Around 463 children have read at least three books. A new record was set!

All evaluation cards have now been sent to the state library center in Koblenz, where they count as a lottery ticket in order to possibly win one of the state-wide prizes. The winners will be notified this week.

But even those who do not win nationwide will be rewarded with a prize in the Konz city library. Every child who has read at least three books and has handed in their club card at the city library by September 11th can collect their prize from now on during the opening hours of the city library. Another reward will be an entry about the successful participation in the reading summer on the next certificate.

The city of Konz once again thanks all sponsors for the monetary and material donations that make the campaign possible: the Volksbank Trier, the Sparkasse Trier, the Lions Club Saarburg, the Elenz company, the Kolibri bookstore in Konz, the Stiftung Zukunft of the district of Trier -Saarburg and the bookstore "Der kleine Buchfink" in Trier.

The READING SUMMER Rhineland-Palatinate 2022 took place from July 11th to September 11th for the age group 6 -16 with the aim of inspiring and motivating children and young people to read outside of school.
