Konz: A breakfast that unites nations
Conc, September 29, 2022
Under this year's motto #opens As part of the Intercultural Weeks in Konz, occasions are being created again where encounters can take place and contacts can grow. They are organized by the intercultural network "IN Konz", an association of people who are active in the diverse institutions of the association community, e.g. in kindergarten or in school, in the church or mosque, in the police, in the administration, in the counseling centers of the welfare associations, in neighborhood management or in the Advisory Board for Migration. And the Partnership for Democracy also supports the series of events, which has made an important contribution to good coexistence in the city and municipality of Konz for years.
As always, part of the program is the intercultural breakfast, which took place on Wednesday in the evangelical community center in Konz-Karthaus. People from different nations came together, brought food from their home countries and shared it - in a joint conversation. "This strengthens the cohesion in our society and helps to break down prejudices," says Mayor Joachim Weber.

The Intercultural Weeks in Konz are part of a nationwide campaign that can now look back on more than 40 years of history. The series of events runs until October 3rd. For example, next Friday families from different countries of origin are invited to the “Café International” in the SocialSpace Center in Konz. The mosques invite you to the "Day of the Open Mosques" next Monday.
