City library Konz and Rotarians are committed to helping refugees - notebooks and free membership cards for the city library should help with learning
Conc, April 27, 2022
The Rotary Club Saarburg donated five notebooks including an office package for refugees in Konz. The notebooks were given to people from Nigeria, Georgia, Syria, Somalia and Afghanistan. Together with a free membership card from the Konz City Library, these can now be used effectively, for example to learn German, for school or training.

The handover took place in the city library of Konz by the representative of the Rotary Club Saarburg, Mr. Rainer Schons. Linda Feger (youth migration service of Caritas Saarburg/Konz) and Elisabeth Kurzmann (head of the city library) took care of the mediation to the young refugees.
The Rotary Club currently consists of 45 members from the greater Saarburg, Konz and Trier area. He is involved locally in the social and cultural area with projects in youth and professional development.
