Konz-Könen: More than 50 years of town twinning with Charny

The town twinning between Könen and the French municipality of Charny has existed for more than 50 years. A delegation from Konz has now traveled to Charny for the anniversary celebrations, which could only take place later due to Corona, including Mayor Joachim Weber and the chairman of the partnership committee, Peter Wincheringer.

As a symbol of European friendship, a partnership tree will be planted in both Könen and Charny in the coming months. And there will be another visit in September: then a delegation from Charny will travel to Könen.
