Benefit concert in Konz for refugees from Ukraine
The immeasurable suffering caused by the war in Ukraine, which has been going on for weeks, also affects the people in our region. As a sign of solidarity, the Konzer-Doktor-Bürgerstiftung invites you to a benefit concert on March 31st in the parish and town church of St. Nikolaus in Konz.
The need to support the people who fled from the Ukraine to Germany before the war - mostly women and children - is overwhelming. The Konzer-Doktor-Bürgerstiftung also wants to set an example and within a very short time has been able to win well-known artists for a benefit concert in the parish and town church of St. Nikolaus Konz.
Three tenors will perform under the direction of former general music director István Dénes: Gor Arsenyan and Karo Khachatryan from Armenia, as well as Wasyl Bil from the Ukraine.
Prof. Karl Ludwig Kreutz accompanies the concert on the organ.
Works by Alessando Stradella, Georg Friedrich Handel and César Franck will be played, among others.
The concert will take place on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. in the parish and town church of St. Nikolaus in Konz.
Admission is free, donations are requested for the association 'Humanitarian Aid Trier e.V.' for the benefit of Ukrainian refugees.
The access rule is 2G-Plus and masks are mandatory throughout the event.
