Award for the "SAARKIND" project from Wiltingen
These are our "Mosel heroes". Guido Wacht, the first full-time deputy of the Konz municipality, congratulated the winners of the "SAARKIND - together, sustainable, constant" project from Wiltingen. They were awarded by the regional initiative "Fascination Moselle" in cooperation with the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture RLP and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. We were looking for actors who could contribute to the Moselle region with their creative, innovative concepts and ideas.

Who is behind Saarkind?
10 young winemakers from the Saar. In 2017 they teamed up for the first time to organize the wine festival "Sound and Shine on the Wiltinger Saarufer". The aim was to create something that young and old would enjoy. In 2019 they found a name for their community: "Saarkind". In order to further strengthen the sense of community in the region, the winegrowers have created the "Saarkind" brand. Online they sell, among other things, T-shirts and hoodies with the inscription “Saarkind”. They also want to emphasize the importance of sustainable action! The fashion is made from 100% organic cotton and has various other fair trade labels.
