At the city council meeting on June 29, 2021, the city of Konz decided to prepare the development plan for the “motorhome parking space at the campsite” in accordance with Section 2 Paragraph 1 of the BauGB and the early participation of the public in accordance with Section 3 Paragraph 1 of the BauGB.

There is significant demand for mobile home parking spaces in the city of Konz. This means that the current available parking spaces are exhausted, especially in the high season. There is a need for urban planning regulations in order to create the planning requirements for expanding the available space. The urban green space between the campsite and the water sports harbor is well suited for this. The area is well developed and integrated into the infrastructure of Konz's leisure and tourism offerings.

The city council has made the decision for the concept of the mobile home parking space and the resulting development plan documents for the early participation of the public and those responsible for public affairs.

The early participation of the public in accordance with Section 3 Paragraph 2 for the development plan takes place in the period from

February 26, 2024 to March 28, 2024

in the form of a display at the Konz municipal administration. The interested public has the opportunity to comment on the intended planning and to make suggestions. In parallel with the public participation, the authorities and other public bodies are involved in accordance with Section 4, Paragraph 1 of the Building Code.

The draft development plan for the “mobile home parking space at the campsite” is available for everyone to view in office room 81 of the town hall of the Konz municipality administration, Am Markt 11, 54329 Konz, administration building I.
